The Projects section of the Administration Module allows for Clients to manage the invoices they receive for their apps, by choosing what projects are available for individual asset groups. In addition, by associating a project with a group, this ensures that a Device Group Admin can only see the billing information assigned to their groups only.
These Projects are used by Track24 to identify which apps or units should be invoiced to which department. This is used by global clients operating in numerous countries under separate billing departments.
From this area, you can add new projects, edit existing projects, and assign asset groups to projects.
1. To assign a project to a group, making it accessible to device group admins, click the 'Edit' button next to the Group name.
2. Select the project, or projects, you would like to be associated to this Group. There is no limit on number of projects associated to a group. However, by linking all your billing projects to a group then this raises the risk of somebody mistakenly activating a device to the wrong billing project and subsequent invoice.
3. Click Save Projects to Group to finish. When activating new apps, Grid Administrators will now have the option of associating the correct project to the activation.
