You can invite new users to start using Smart24 via the Admin module of the Grid, as well as deactivating or reactivating existing users. They will receive email invitations explaining how to get started, including their one-time activation code.
The Administration module is accessible by default to your Grid admin user, and if needed it can also be enabled for other Grid users by an admin.
To add a new Smart24 user, complete the following four steps:

- Smart24 Tier
Smart24 Tier refers to Smart24 Core, Plus and Premium. The differences between the versions of Smart24 is explained in here.
This is the email of the user who will be installing Smart24. A one-time access code will be sent to this address.
- Phone Number
Adding a phone number will enable SMS communication to this device from the Grid.
- Call Sign
The Call Sign refers to how name of the Smart24 user will appear on the Grid and in other areas like notifications and alerts. A best practice is to use the person's full name.
- Billing Project
This field is of importance to global clients, ensuring that the Smart24 app appears under the correct 'billing project' for invoicing purposes.
- Group
By default all clients will have a ‘Main’ group, where apps can be placed. However, for enterprise clients, they may choose to place apps in separate groups referring to different geographic locations. The concept of a Group on the Grid is explained here.
- Settings Template
Settings template refers to a 'advanced feature' for selecting or enforcing certain settings for your Smart24 users. By creating a template from the main Administration page, you can choose the default settings for your Smart24 users.
4. Click Save Device
Once you click Save Device an email invitation will be sent to the user. Until they activate the app, it will appear in red as pending on the List of Devices below. They have 24 hours to activate their app, after which they will have to request a new access code following the instructions here.
