How to Poll a Device on the Grid

During the course of day to day activities, you may need to poll a single device to try and force the device to report in. This may be because the user has their report interval set to every 12 hours, and you need to find them immediately due to an emergency. 
Track24 recommend that the poll feature is used sparingly.

To poll a device, please follow the below steps.

1. Navigate to the devices menu, and select the device you want to poll by clicking on the 'Centre Device' button next to their name.

2. Click 'Poll GPS' in the bottom left corner of the Unit Info page. Note - this will immediately send a poll command to the device. 

If the device does not respond with an updated location, this may be because the device does not have any data coverage, or might be switched off. 

Please note, Smart24 users are notified when their location is polled by Grid administrators.
