When a Smart24 app is activated for the first time, your app will have the recommended Track24 settings in place. Below, we detail the initial settings provided by Track24 and the reasons behind this.
Tracking: Tracking is default enabled for Smart24 Plus. You can disable this by sliding this to the left.
Tracking Update Interval: This is set to a recommended 15 minutes reporting. This provides good coverage to your monitoring team, without having a heavy impact on your battery. This can be adjusted to a maximum of 24 hours.
Emergency Update Interval: This is set to 15 seconds reporting during an emergency situation, which allows for detailed coverage during an emergency. This can be adjusted to a maximum of 3 minutes.
Shake for Emergency: This is default disabled for all users. You can enable this by sliding to the right. This feature allows for users to shake their phone to trigger an emergency. Please see here for an article on how to use this feature.
Shake Sensitivity Level: This is default set to low. This is to try to prevent any false positives where the Shake for Emergency is triggered in error. You can adjust this to medium or high.
Poll: This is default enabled. Poll is the last line of defence for your Grid monitoring team to locate you during an emergency situation, where your tracking is disabled. If your monitoring team poll your location, you will be notified by Track24, and this will be recorded in your Activity Log.
