Grid users can remotely inspect your Smart24 users settings from the Grid itself. This allows the team to check if users have tracking enabled, their report interval, and if they have the poll feature enabled. Please see below for steps on how to do this:
1. Click on the device you want to check. This can be done from the devices menu or by clicking on their icon on the map. In this example, we'll click on Edward Smith.
2. By clicking on the device, a new device info window will open. This window has a great deal of information, such as last report time, if it reported using wifi or cell coverage, and the report type. Click on 'Settings' to go to the settings area.
3. In this window you can see the Smart24 version, in this case 3.500. This is important as if it is a lower version, for example 3.200, it might not be compatible with the phone's operating system anymore. Click on 'View Settings' to open up a new window displaying all the device's settings. Please note, this button may not be visible if the device has never sent a report to the Grid, for example having been newly activated.
4. From this window you can view the device's settings, as well as remotely adjust them if required. Here, you can see that Edward has tracking disabled and polling enabled. This means he won't be sending regular position reports, but can still be found through the poll feature.
By toggling the "Locked" feature to on you can lock the settings on your user's Smart24 application, ensuring they are unable to change it from their phone.
