The Grid has a search bar option which allows users to search for devices, locations, groups and geofences at the same time for your account.
It also allows you to search for places and locations on the map for quicker navigation from one place to another. This will hopefully enable more time to be spent efficiently whilst on the Grid.
How to use the search function:
- Navigate to the left hand side menu bar and click on “Search”.
- Decide if you want to search for devices, locations, groups or geofences on your account by choosing “Your Account”, or locations or places in the world by clicking on “Map”.
Search on your Account: Search for any groups, locations, geofences or devices you have access to. In the example above the user has searched for “Ir”, displaying all search results including “Ir” in its name.
You can then navigate to a specific device, location or geofence in question on the map by clicking the centre device button after each item.
Though it is not possible to do this for groups, you can press the “Show” button to get an overview of the group and its content, or press the “Poll group” button to send a poll request to devices located in this group (pictured below). Here you can also add a message to be sent out to selected devices in the specific group, press "Poll Group" to poll the selected devices and to send a message.
Search on Map: Search for a place or location in the world. In the example below the user has searched for Abuja, the capital city of Nigeria. Click on the search result you wish to navigate to for it to be displayed on your map.
