What Is a Geofence Alarm?

A geofence alarm is triggered when a device either reports from inside an exclusive area, for example an area known for mugging, or from outside an inclusive area, for example a device reporting from outside the green zone of Baghdad. 

Geofences are completely client controlled, each geofence being created and saved onto the Grid by the client. For more on Geofences, please read the articles in this section.

Geofence alarms appear on the Grid as a purple alert, please see below for an example. The device icon will remain purple until the alarm is acknowledged and reset successfully.
